Is it possible to get a new touchpad?

Mine is pretty worn, considering its probably only 5 month old. In addition to this I get an error warning every boot up regarding an error specifically with it.

It's an Acer Aspire 3610.

hmm you must really use it if its only 5 months old it should still be under warranty try contacting acer and talking to them and if they wont replace it order one but they are not easy to put in you have to take the whole laptop apart on most models to get to it to replace it and if you do not know what your doing its usually best to let a professional do it

you will have to take the laptop apart in order to install the touchpad, its pretty easy but ive done it hundreds of times lol.
it might sound obvious but pressing alt+F7 is always worth a shot and maybe a system restore; but im guessing you've tried that.

If your touchpad is worn and isnt as sensitive anymore, a temporary fix would be to go into the settings for it, most lappys have a setting to adjust various sensitivity levels for touchpads.
