We have a very old HP Pavillion desktop processor that we want to replace. We do not need a screen or printer. Most stores price all components together. Where is the best place to purchase the Tower / Processor only and do you recommend any specific models. Also would like Microsoft Office Windows Excel, Powerpoint and Word included in package. Thanks!

so basically you want a new computer? what price range & what will you be using it for? what type of monitor do you currently have? does it have vga (blue) or dvi (grey) plugs

can't tell you what to get if you can't tell us what you want

We need a new PC (without the LCD screen). Budget is less than $1,000 but always looking for the best deal.

Thanks for your help! Yes, need a new desktop computer. We will use it for school projects, internet browsing, storing photos. Do not need a lot of memory, but would like it to run fast. The LCD screen we are using is an LG flat screen TV. No grey plugs, we, we have it connected to RGB input now. The TV also has yellow, white, red, blue, green plugs. Thanks again!

AV - anyways, if you want it to run fast, get some memory and a ssd, and you'll get a fast computer!

A ''build your own'' computer will fit the budget, and will still be very good! :)

having doubts that this guy wants to build his own comp.

jlg, did you want to purchase parts and put it together yourself?(not as hard as it sounds... if you've played with legos you can put together a pc). Or did you want us to point you in the direction of a PC that has good specs?
