New Upgrade Problems

Hey, I just bought a new
Gigabyte M56S-S3
AMD AM2 6000+
Nvidia 8800 GTS 320mb
AND
2 x 1 GB Corsair 800
To upgrade my comp (in sig)
My problem is:

When I put it all together, it kinda just gives a few clicking noises from the PC Speaker and then freezes.
I then tried resetting CMOS; this allowed it to boot, but when attempting to boot into windows (tried off both HDDs;one SATA-w/vista one IDE- w/XP) it crashes.

I'm not 100% sure about this but is it possible that it's my PSU not cutting it?
The 8800 says 400w is enough, but im not sure about the CPU

Another possibility could be that I wired the internal stuff wrong, but that shouldn't affect it should it?(power and reset buttons work fine)

I've tried everything I can think of (removed all cables, cards, etc.) and these seem to be the only conclusions I can come to.

Thanks in advanced

Derryn

its possible that its the psu, If you've got another one you can try then I suggest that, otherwise go buy one. If its not that then atleast you've got a better psu :)

another psu bigger than 430w lol? not gonna happen round my place lol.
Thanks heaps for the suggestion tho =)

I actually did find a 500w PSU in the shed lol (what are the odds)
Tried it out and it does the same thing, which makes me think its the 8800

Appreciate any more help =)

**NEW Development**
Somehow got it to stop blanking out.
Now when it gets to windows loadscreen it comes up with a dodged up BSoD:

A blue screen with
***STOP: 0x0000005c (0x0000010b,0x00000003,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Nothing else but that....weird eh?

(and it has exactly the same BSoD when trying to Re-Install Vista off the CD)

For anyone who's still interested it was both XP and Vista that was at fault.
I've reinstalled XP with no hassles (except it's not detecting my network to activate)

Thanks to you guys who tried to help

UPDATE:
XP works fine,
Vista doesn't boot off the original installation nor will it install
