new vid card 300$ any quick suggestions?

im looking to spend around 300$ on a new vid card give or take. i was just posting to see if you guys had any quick recommendations i could look at. im going to research a lot of cards but i just wanted to see if you guys could help narrow it down to a few for me.

yeah 4870 is probably the best bet. an unorthodox way to go would be to get 2 8800gt's and sli which would outperform the 4870...

For $300.00 probably the ATi Radeon 4870 as my first choice. 9800 GX2 as my second.
