new video card advice

Hey guys,

My video card which was a Nvidia GeForce 9600Gt 512mb has just died. I am looking at getting a something similar but maybe a little better.

The three that look decent to me are the Asus 5450, Asus 5670 and Asus 5750. Basically i'm looking to spend up to about AU$200.

I am not an expert on video cards but i need for moderate gaming and some tv as well.

I currently have:
Asus P5Q motherboard
Intel core 2 duo E7200 2.53 GHz
2x1GB Kingston DDR2 PC2 6400 Ram
Seagate 500GB HDD
Windows 7 home premium 32 bit

I am also possibly looking into at least adding some more ram but maybe even the CPU if its worth it??

Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated

What PSU have you got?

5450 is worst than 9600GT. 5670 should be slight faster.
If you don't want to spend a lot, 5750 1GB/ GTS 450 1 GB is the way to go.

With AU $200, GTX 460 768MB is the best. But it need 2 x PCI-e pin

I have a 500watt PSU that is a couple of years old.

I've found the 5770 1GB for AU$179 and the GTX460 for around $240. Would it be worth the extra $70?

Do you think it would be worth upgrading the CPU?

What brand is your 500W?
I am not sure if it had 2 x PCI-E Pin

I guess you would better off to 5770
