We have a Belkin 802.11b router that we bought like 6 years ago and I'm not sure but it seems to be the cause of one of our computers not being able to find a wireless network about every couple days or so. We have 2 computers but 1 is hard wired to the router. I'm trying to decide if I want go ahead and get a new wireless router for about $30 and hope that will provide a constant solid wireless signal or spend $10 on a ~75' network cable to run from the router to the second computer. What do you guys think? New wireless router or just hard wire the second computer?

direct will be faster. i don't use wireless much. maybe in the backyard and drinking a beer in the lounge chair. (time and place for both).

Direct will be faster between the two computers, but if you get a new G wireless router there won't be any difference in speed on the internet. Reason being that G runs at 54Mb and most internet connections run at 6Mb at most, more likely that it's 2 or 4. Make sure that you get a Netgear, D-Link, US Robotics or Linksys; most of the others are all crap.

well I just bought a new wireless adapter for the second computer not too long ago so I decided to try a new 802.11G router and hopefully that one will work well.
