Newb with Integrated Video/Motherboard Questions

Hey guys, long time gamer, new time builder. My Mom bought a custom-made computer with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dal Core Processsor 3800+ 2.01 GHz with 960 MB of RAM. It also has a POS Nvidia GeForce 6100. What I am fearing is that this POS is one of those integrated video cards, is that true?

And if that is true, is it possible to add another(vid card)? Obviously I can't unsolder the video card, but I've heard it's possible to add another one if you have the hardware. How do I tell if I have another PCI or AGP slot? And if I did, what would be a quality video card to use with my mediocre processor?
Thanks guys!

Look and see if it has one of these slots. PCIe X16 slot. It doesnt have to be Blue.

Or if it has one of these slots. AGP slot. It doesnt have to be brown either.

If I bumped up the RAM to 2k, what would a good vid card be for it? I just want to be able to play most Steam games, do you think my processor is good enough for L4D?
