Newbie: HD Backup?

I have noticed the promotional "blue" tabs above wonder if my home PC should have a mirrored Hard Drive just in case of emergency. Programs such as Acronis True Image 8.0 seem to make sense to an amateur like myself ..... but then again, I'm an amateur.

My most important data are MS Word documents and misc pics and those are burned anew on CDs each month for protection.

Well if you want the cheapest way.. Open a free yahoo account and forward them to yourself there as a zip file. Use yahoo as a storage location. The next cheapest would have to be a cdrw, just keep re-writing the information over the old cd... I use yahoo :)
