Newbie Here (AVI Question)

Ok first things first......Hello!

Ok down to business, when i download videos off the net that are set in AVI format my windows media player will not play them.
I am running media 10 version at the minute.

If anybody could guide me through how to get it to work i would really appreciate it!

download k-lite codec pack

Or you can google Divx player which is a stand-alone player but also installs the codecs for WMP. I use it, and it is nice.

Woops, didn't see that there was replies already. But as said by shady...

You just need a codec pack. Something such as this media pack should work.

I never install codec packs as I always have a problem with them for some reason. You can download the xvid codec on its own and install that (as most downloaded movies these days are xvids if in avi format).

cheers everyone i am downloading the k-lite codec pack now! when it finishes does it install itself or do i need to do it??
