Not true at all, 32 bit windows can only utilize a maximum of 3gb, so you would have 1gb of useless memory, whoever told you that does not even have a basic knowledge of computers.
Well if you already have 64 bit windows, you can still upgrade to 4gb ram and be able to utilize the full 4gb.
An ssd certainly would help speed things up, however as you have a laptop storage space maybe an issue, as ssd`s do not come in really big sizes, the most common size for most people is around 120gb.
Thanks, will that speed things up? Crucial.com says I can go to 8 but others say I can't. Will that, and/or a SSD help with speed?
