Hey all, I am new to the forums... I recently bought a nvidia 8400gs 512 pci, and I have a dell 1.6ghz with 768mb of ram, i am trying to run a game "unreal tournament" from 1999 and I am still getting lags on maps... any id eas?

\thanks

it's probably your CPU, most games recommend 2.4GHz or higher. Your ram could be the bottle-neck to, i would atleast get 1gig.Whats your OS?

I am running Windows XP, but the thing is the game is from 1999 so I think the requirements are significantly less, don't laugh people still play it lol... but my thought was the processer being 1.6ghz can't handle my gfx card but I dk :(

i still play wolfenstein 3d(1992) and Doom(1993),lol. i still think its your CPU. it only takes like 100-200mb to run xp, so you should be good on your ram.

edit- you playing online?..if so it could be your connection/speed.

When you installed the 8400gs in your pc, did you install the drivers from the cd orfrom the net? also is it game lag or mouse and keyboard lag?
