Hey all, as you can see i just joined today. Anyways here is a bit about my system

P4 3.0Gb w/HT
Geil DDR400 1Gb
(from old computer) 60GB HDD
Mepis Linux 3.3 test
NEC DVD multi format burner
17" LCD dell monitor


Not a bad start?

im looking to get a 10,000rpm HDD and another Gig of ram, possibly overclock it once i get some better cooling :D

i guess just to have..lol I have been trying to decide to use this pc for a home theater set up. The movies seem to look alot better in the lcd. But too bad the bid lcd screen are too much money. I built a pc along the same specs except it had the sata 10,000rpm hdd for a gamer friend. I wish i took pics :mad:

I would have to say thats pretty good and I would mos def get that extra gig of ram the more the better. Especially if you like to run a virtual machine.

Hey yall,

yeah I didn't join that long ago aswell heres my specs (not that great)

Intel Pentium 4 2.53GH
WD 160GB and 30GB (got new hdd and use my old one as a 2nd one)
128MB Geforce FX 5500
258MB RAM

id upgrade your vid card before youu go 2 gigs of ram because really unless your doin some heavy vid editing there is no need for 2 gigs
