Sorry if this is a silly question, but I'm kinda paranoid about such things. I'm going to order some memory for my build, which is an Athlon II Propus 640, AM3 socket processor, which will go on a DDR3 board with a 2600mhz FSB.
Now, the memory I'm looking at says it is designed for the AMD Phenom II, Intel i3, i5 and i7. But I assume it will work with my Athlon II as well, as long as the board is the proper configuration??
description:
Two matched 4GB modules for use in high performance for the AMD Phenom II or Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 Dual Channel systems Includes new connector for future upgrades and accessories
one further query - I'm planning on DDR3 1333, would I gain much by going to 1600?
