newbie needs help!!!

hello everyone! i am new here and need some help! i have a dell dimension 2400 with p4 2.2ghz, 256ddr ram, 40gb 7200rpm hardrive, basic everything else. i want to upgrade the integrated graphics card so i can play games and see good graphics. i have no clue how to pick out a new card. how do i know which ones will work with my system? pci or agp? i have no clue, so can someone please help me out on what i need to know to upgrade my graphics card? i will be playing the sims, swat 4, call of duty, half life, halo, gta vice city. thanks for helping out a newbie!

That model does not come with an AGP port so you will need a PCI card if you don't want to use the integrated

is it just regular pci or the pci-express x16?

to install it, all i do is take out the old one, put the new one in and load the drivers?

to install it just plug it into a PCI slot, you can't take out onboard video
Generally that video card will be ok, you can do better but if you are realistic about the video settings you run the games at you'll be fine
