newbie question

Okay so Im pretty much a newbie to computer building. The only real issue is page loading when there is a large amount of graphics, adds and secure sites like bank or credit card sites. I was told that this is happening because my mother board is limiting my cpu causing the pages to load slow.
I have checked the cat5e, wifi and router with another computer and all is good. oddly the computer in question loads pages pretty well early in the morning. Thought about replacing either the mother board or cpu to make a good match.

Here is my system

hardware
cpu-amd phenom2 x4 840
motherboard- msi 760gm-e51 fx
graphics card- pny geforce gt 610
hard drive 1 500 GB
hard drive 2 250 GB

dont know if the os matters
OS
on hard drive 1 - 64 bit Linux mint ,64 bit ubuntu 12.04 lts ,32 bit windows8.1 inside linux on vrbox

on hard drive 2 - 64 bit windoiws 8.1

How much ram do you have? And can you go to speestest.net and tell us the speed? And mother boards dont bottleneck stuff, well not usually at least, so thats not the problem.

Okay. Well first, that amount of VMs is way to much for 4 GB of RAM, so that would for sure slow down the PC. Second, is the video cable plugged into the motherboard?

If it is, it should be plugged into the video card, which will look something like this.

my monitor is plugged into the graphics card and im gonna go get some more ram- maybe take it up to 16 GB (the max ram is 32 GB) and see how that goes. thank you for the advice

So long as your virtual machine isn't running on more than 2GB of RAM, you're fine.
