newbie questions

I have 2 questions:
- 1 when I boot the window XP , I have a trouble: the bar is run and it never stop.
I don't know what happen with my computer.
But when I restart and I press F2 , after I press Esc my system runs normally
- 2 my school's computer have much viruses.
when I scan viruses, the virus were wiped out but all data of computer were delete
So the computer is empty, I can't do anything with it.
what happen with the computer?

Hi. :)

1--Answer to your first question I would boot into Windows XP and try doing a System restore and see if that fixes your booting problem.

2--For your next question it depends on what Anti Virus software did you use?

Also can you even load Windows XP?

Do you want to get back any personal files? (Writing Documents, Pictures, Videos)

yeah definitely try the system restore, then load up your computer with some decent antivirus software like norton, mcafee, or etrust

I think there is an oxymoron in there... Just get some good free stuff, AVG or Avast!.
