Newcomer with hangover

Hi everybody,

I have just bought myself my first PC, running XP home with Office 2003. What I would like to know is how to use Microsoft Outlook as my mail editor, instead of the POP3 account that comes with the internet package...

I have spoken to a couple of people to work out how to do this, because when I installed the Office program, I agreed for Outlook to be my default. Now if I go into Outlook it won't send or receive any mail. I have checked the send/receive options to make sure my details are correct, but it's just not liking it..

Can anyone here help me?
 
go to tools options mail setup, click email accounts check you have that configured.

When you say instead of the POP 3 account, do you mean pop3 email program?
