Next Generation Computing

Windows Ten is coming out. This is believed to be a core generation operating system only. I received an invite via my Windows Seven in the tasktray. So what I'm bringing up here is what is next? A new Pentium 4 was released and a new Celeron were released, among others. Many of you own some type of CPU or other. Not as new as these but that is fine. New processors are going to sell during this Windows Ten stint I suspect. So what comes after the core? Everyone is dying to know. How is it going to utilize new operating systems? If not soon, then later I suppose. I suspect win10 to be a core generation OS.

Source? I think you meant to leave off the '4'. Also, the OS isn't specific to i-series processors since AMD FX and similar will run Windows 10 with no problem.

Skylake and Zen are the next two platforms from Intel and AMD, they're x86 based so will run all of the same OSes and software (but with more hardware resources).

No, Windows 10 will work fine on AMD processors.

A new Pentium 4 was released and a new Celeron were released, among others.
There are new Pentium CPU's, but no, the Pentium 4 is not re-released.

.
Why do you think many of us don't have a current CPU?

New processors are going to sell during this Windows Ten stint I suspect.
Processor release cycles have nothing to do with OS release cycles.

No one knows yet, the new Broadwell and future Skylake CPUs are still classified as the i-series.
How is it going to utilize new operating systems? If not soon, then later I suppose.
Huh? Current and future Intel/AMD processors work fine with current OS's and Windows 10.
