NFS carbon problem

I installed the game and played it with no problems
I copied my save game in another place then uninstalled the game
I reinstalled the game again and put the save game back to it's normal position to continue playing.... now it tells me unable to load the file
why ?

Although, when i reinstalled windows last night, i reinstalled the game and it works fine.

When I backed up NFS underground (I know diff game). I would have to start a new game with the same name as my last (old game saves). I then would close out the game then replace the old game saves.
