No access to C

Ok, I got a problem with my mac. My only user does not have access to drive C (or the system drive). Now I know this because I was looking in permissions and did not realize I had clicked "no access". exiting the window caused everything to go from my desktop and now the computer wont load into the OS, it gets to a blue background and stops. It's as if finder wont load. I dont know what to do. :o

Imac G3 400mhz DVD; Mac OS X (10.3.9); 256ram, 40gb hdd

im not sure if i can, or how to make a new user as i have no options when i turn it on. i havnt tried the system restore yet..i need to find it:P

Hrmmm, I stopped workink with Macs a while ago, but hear goes.... Sounds like a permissions thing to me, like you locked yourself out, try a locksmith, lol (worry, had to throw that in) If you can, log in as an administrator. Otherwise, lookup the button for gettin into your bios or something like that where you can change your load settings or get into safe mode. Thats all windows talk, I apolgize.

ok this is what happens...
boot from the OSX dvd and go to disc utility. select repair permissions...done..easy :)

more often than not, i answer my own forums:P
