No audio output device installed ??!!

So just turned my laptop on and the sound icon says No audio output device installed................. What have I done ?! I have noticed the Intel graphics media accelerator driver for mobile icon has changed and I think recently upgraded would this affect the sound ??

Any answers or advice will kindly be appreciated

What is the model of your laptop? And is everything else working?

Look in device manager to see if any drivers are missing. Sometimes driver updates will cause other issues.
