Hey guys, my friend just got done building a computer. It starts up and everything but theres just a blank screen on the monitor? What could be some reasons for this problem?

No theres no beep. We have the CD drive out temporarily too. Heres the specs

Dynapower Metis II (comes with power supply)
ASRock 775i65GV mobo
Samsung 160 gig SATA hard drive
Rosewill 512mb ram

He has a PC speaker thought right? If he does and it's not beeping there is a motherboard failure somewhere

make sure the motherboard isn't touching the case, all the expansion cards are seated properly, in short, make sure everything is installed and connected properly. Also is the ATX12v (the little 2x2 power connector) plugged in?

Yes, everything is plugged in everything is working, procesor fan is running. Also, on the CPU socket, some of the prongs are bent over (maybe 2 or 3), could this affect it? All drives are working, the processor is warm and all that good stuff

it wont even get to the point where it is checking the video if the pins on the CPU aren't in contact with the connections in the socket

Yes I cannot see how the PC is running with bent pins. Basically you bend a pin, you toss it in trash and buy a new one.

Or you could RMA/return/get a new one.

I suppose it would depend on where you purchased It I suppose.. I don't know of any place that'll accept a CPU back with bent pins.
