Hey guys as you can see ive bought a new cpu cooler, YAY!
Problem is, does your pc still boot if the cooler is touching the cpu? or do you actually need the cpu to touch the cooler. I was wandering because maybe some other component could be stuffed up!

Any info will be great guys! thanks for your time
 
Ive got the Noctua NH-C12P cooler. The cooler is not actually touching the thermal paste and cpu. Once i first boot it up it would shut down automatically? would it be overheating? would it actually overheat? Any info will help thanks!
