Hello,

I am currently building a computer and I have run into a problem. I have plugged everything in and all the parts are working except the display wont show which means no BIOS either. I have tested the monitor and it works on another computer. The motherboard lights up and I have tried plugging the monitor into both the graphics card and the motherboard with a Display Port & HDMI cable. Could someone help me fix this problem?

Motherboard: MSI Krait Gmaing 3x Z170A

Graphics Card: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X

Did you use the standoffs between the motherboard and case? Did you plug in both of the pci express power connectors to the video card?

I have the standoff under the mother board and the Graphics card id plugged in on the bottom but nothing plugged into the top of it as there is nothing I can plug into it

Your video card needs 2 pci express power cables from your power supply in order to work. What power supply do you have?

See image where circled.video card.jpg

Your psu has 4 of those connectors, they look like this. It's the connector on the right. It will have 6 pins and then another 2 pins next to it.

The cables you need will say VGA on it. You will have 4 of them but only need 2 for your card.
