No Ieee!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!! Help

ya i know I can do that, but I just dont want to have this port on the front that doesnt work... is it possible to have a cord that changes a firewire into a usb to plug into a usb slot on the mobo?
 
ya, but the point is, I have this Ieee slot on the i/o ports on the front of my case. It would have a port on teh front thats useless. Its not that I need a firewire port, its just having all the front ports work.
 
I have an add on 3.5in bay that has IEEE1394, and the A8N5X doesnt have firewire... i could care less. Its not like people are going to go up to your case and go "hey, your firewire doesnt work! i dont want to be your friend anymore!"
 
Ok, I checked it out, but I couldnt find an internal card that has the slot hing I need. I've found ones that have an internal "firewire" port, but this cord wont go in it. I has 9 pins, 1 pin thats filled in, and a white "looping" cord that comes off and goes back to the connector. I cant fine a 1394 card that has a socket for this 1394 cable. Could anyone find me a link? In the meantime, i'm still looking. And BTW i don't mean to DP
