No images on icons

Hi all.
I have a problem that is crazy and im trying to fix it but.....
I have few software in my computer that i installed and as always they have there own files that you can open only with this software.
Its like you have nero burning in your computer and to open an image file you use nero. mY problem is that the acual icon of the image file is not showing the nero image,, so when i press on it its asking me what program you want to open this file with, and its nero program.
I have this for few software
whats going on with my icons?
 
Not sure what could cause this, but if you right click them and select 'Open With...', select the correct program, and then check the box at the bottom that says something like 'Always open this type of file with this program' that should fix it.
