No internet connection with XP pro.

Hello,

I just purchased a PC on Ebay. It has both Vista and XP pro OS. I plugged in my cable Internet and with Vista it works fine, however with XP I just cannot get online! Does anyone know what the problem could be? Do I have to go to control panel and change some settings somewhere?

Make sure the ethernet driver is installed in XP. Go into device manager and see what is listed for network adapters, make sure there are no yellow exclamation points, which tells you that drivers are needed.
