IMG_6222.JPG I have a nasty virus I'm trying to deal with so I switched to safe mode then restarted my laptop. My pc started but the usual login option is gone. There's no way for me to sign in. I tried different keyboard combinations but nothing.

I attached a picture to show you what I'm talking about, hope it helps

I have a Toshiba Satellite L75 and I'm running Windows 10

I appreciate any help thank you!!

You can do one of 2 things.

1. Take the hard drive out and attach it to another system and do a full scan on it using malwarebytes and an antivirus program or.
2. Download a bootable rescue cd to scan your drive for malware.

A few to try would be

Bitdefender
Comodo
Avira
Kaspersky

You could do a couple of things:
(1). Go to a restore point via recovery, make sure it is before you got the virus if you have a restore point.
(2). Plug your hard drive in to an external dock, plugged in to an external system, grab all of your user files (C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME HERE]. Reinstall Windows via recovery.
(3). Try what johnb35 said.

Good luck!

Can't do a recovery if he can't even boot into windows or safe mode.
As long as the partition where recovery is isn't effected, all should be fine and dandy.
EDIT: johnb35, you're probably right since safe mode is effected. I would just try salvaging data then because Windows might be toast.
