No monitor signal - PC seems to boot

Hello,
I have a bit of an old homemade PC kind of Frankenstiened together from random parts...it was working fine until...

I tried to slave an old seagate HD to it, and I was having a bit of trouble figuring out the jumper settings.

Suddenly, after a bit of trial and error, the PC stopped turning on sort of. The power comes on, the HD and fans spin (I decided to remove the slaved HD when this happened, so only using normal HD now). It seems like the PC is on, but the monitor is blank, and the power light blinks green as if it's plugged into a PC that's turned off.

Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks.

Are you using a video card or on board video? If using a card try on board video, if that works then your card is probably gone. Do you have another monitor you can test? Double check all you connections, wiggle the monitor cord.
