First, in my network, there are windows 7 and xp computers. One xp computer shares a folder with full access. That computer ip is 192.168.2.2. If I can call it on other xp computers, sometimes, it say that no more connection can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept. The same error occur if i use "net view". But calling from windows 7 computers is always fine. Nothing happen. What is the problem?
Thz.

Non server versions of Windows have a client connection limit, of either 10 or 15 simultaneous connections. I can't recall if it is 10 or 15, but it is one or the other. Anything over that gets denied as Microsoft wants you to buy Server.

The easiest and cheapest way around this, is set up a Linux file server and use the open source version of SMB, Samba, which doesn't have that client connection limit.

I found in sessions tab of computer management console:
there are 8 computer connected to that computer and but only two users.
I can't close them. I test that the computers appeared in sessions can use the share but the other not.
