No Picture/Video on Media Player

Hi folks,
I hope you can help me on this one. Every time I use the media player, it does not show any picture nor videos if I am using a CD. But when my video files are saved in a usb flash drive, it allows me to view the videos. What seems to be the problem? I look forward for your response peeps!

Not sure if it will help but try downloading and installing video codecs such as divx or k-lite. Also try using a different player such as VLC media player.
