No Picture

Okay, so this is the situation. I have a computer running, everything is on, card is working as far as I know (board lit up and fan spinning). I've tested the RAM and it is fine. I've double checked the the connections and compatibility and there are no problems there. I've loosened the retention bracket for the HSF to make sure it wasn't pushing too hard on the CPU and no difference.
I am also getting no beeps from the board either.

So, could it be the card or CPU? The card is running fine (externally at least) but I can't be sure about internals or the CPU. Now I don't have anything to test these two components with (I'm not going to get into why -_-).

So, did I overlook anything? Anything else I can check? What is it most likely?

CPU - Q6600
GPU - Sapphire HD 4870
Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P

... you said you got no beeps, but in my experiance alot of people don't have the beeping speaker thing pluged in, so .. do u have it pluged in?, have u tested the monitor?, have u tested the graphics card on a different motherboard?, did u test it with a different graphics card?, if your CPU, RAM, MOBO or Graphics card is faulty it should beep, have u tested the cable? made sure the powers on (on the monitor), made sure the monitors set to the right settings, is have u reseated your graphics card, does your graphics card need extra power (6pin, 8pin?)? is it the right standard for your motherboard .. (some new AGP cards arn't supported by older AGP)

also your monitor should say something like getting no sigal... if not then theres some kind of signal coming off the graphics card .. which is also a sign of faulty graphics card

good luck hope this helps

If no beep and no picture appear, it your cpu. Check again your cpu. Make sure it properly attached.
