no screen

I hope this is the appropriate forum for this thread.

I just bought a new mobo, cpu, and ram. i plugged everything in, all the fans and lights go on the cd and hard drives spin up, but no screen. My screen just stays in standby mode. i swapped out graphics cards, added and removed cd and HDs, removed the ram, changed every thing i could, nothing. Any thoughts?

Heres are my components.

Athlon 64 X2 5000 @2.6 Ghz
4GB Corsair XMS ram (2x2gb)
foxconn a78ax-s mobo
radeon 3850

Is there any sound like Windows or the OS is loading up or simply nothing? One thing that will stall a system right off from starting up normally while everything else seems normal is the 12v cpu feed if that should have a loose contact inside the plug.

I ran into that little snag on the last build here when replacing a supply that quit. The new one seemed to provide adequate power for lights and fans but no boot? Upon unplugging the cpu feed and very lightly plugging it back in just until the retainers clicked zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzoom off in the running as everything came to life. http://www.computerforum.com/80790-bad-board-simply-need-replug.html

well i tried everything I could, but i concluded that the mobo is no good, so i got an RMA and i will get a replacement. Way to go Newegg!

The first board for this build had to be replaced in only 3days time when it quit out of the blue! Newegg made good with sending out the new one promptly.
