I just installed a 9800 gx2 with the newest drivers from nvidia.com. The problem that I am having is that when i go to change it so that there are 2 monitors there is only one displayed. There is no option to expand my desktop onto another monitor. I know that both of the monitors are working because I plugged them into the same dvi slot and they worked. Also when I attempt to go to the nVidia control panel I cannot see it because it goes off the screen like there is another monitor there. When i move the mouse over to the edge of the scree however I cannot go past it. Any ideas?

technically the gx2 is in sli, and more than one moniter in sli simply does not work
ok thanks. Do you know how to turn that off? Or can I just not use 2 monitors?

i don't think you can with the 9800gx2, i think if you look on the taskbar(thing with time) it should say sli enabled or something, you might be able to disable it that way, otherwise i know something like the radeon 3650 is a cheap alternative(has two dvi ports)
I wasnt able to disable it, but I just used my 8600gts that I had before to display on my 2nd monitor. The strange thing is when i go to set up the two monitors in windows it show that I can potentaly have 5 monitors. That could be because there is a HDMI on the gx2 as well. Wel the problem is solved though.
