My computer would not load up any programs so I restarted it. When the computer restarted, the screen went blank and went to sleep. I can not get it to get a signal from the computer even though the computer is running fine. Any suggestions on what I should do to get a signal to my monitor or what the problem could be?

If you only heard the single default beep and didn't see the initial post screen you video card could have overheated. Were you ocing at all when this happened?

No i was not ocing... i have tried unplugging all the cables and turning power off to computer and monitor and still no luck... I am clueless on what went wrong, HELP!

How old is the system there? If it is older then a year the Lithium battery on the board itself may have gone on you. I've seen that a few times where "nothing" works and the system suddenly seems dead and lifeless while the fans and power light are still seen. Those are sold for a few dollars wherever calculators and watches are sold. The typical board runs a CR2032. But you should always bring the old battery with you to match numbers on it or to cross reference to equivalent.

Without a series of audio beeps being pointing at memory or the video card itself, and not seeing any visual hardware failure messages it's also likely you are facing a board problem other then the battery. That would cost a lot more there however. The bios may have been corrupted if this isn't being seen by a now d...o...a.. Lithium battery.

Thanks for all the help guys! I fixed the problem by removing my video card and using the onboard video. Anyone have any ideas why this would cause this kind of problem? Maybe I didnt install it right who knows?

If the card wasn't seated down fully or somehow rised up in the slot that would explain much there. Since no audio alert was heard the card is probably still good. But the one way to find is to reseat and disable the onboard and see where you go from there. If it is doa you will know right when nothing is seen but beeps are heard.
