As was mentioned in another thread, do not discuss or mention any cracks or altering of software on the forums. Doing so will result in warnings (consider this yours) and continue up to a temporary ban.suprasteve said:when I first installed it, my sound was screwed up, stuff came out of the speakers but it wasn't what was supposed to be there, I reinstalled, didn't help. That is perfectly acceptable, since you are not circumventing any copy protection, and you still require the disk to play the game at all.mrjack said:- Option for user to play audio files directly from hard disk. Copy the contents of the PLAY discs Audio directory into your installed Grand Theft Auto III Audio directory. Grand Theft Auto III still requires the presence of the PLAY disc when started. This may give better performance on some machines (though worse on others).
- All protection checks (apart from needing PLAY disc to start) removed. Grand Theft Auto III still checks for the presence of the PLAY disc when initially started, and plays audio from the PLAY disc if not found on the hard disk (see above).
