No sound on downloaded video's

Hi all.
I am trying to play a Youtube video from my bookmarks that I have played many times before. The video plays ok but there is no sound. I can play short Prompt sounds from my Control Panel with the test button. I have looked in the Device Manager for the Yellow Triangles to see if something isn't working, but everything appears fine.
I don't know how long it's not been working for, possibly a couple of weeks. I had a blown Element on my Oven that tripped the main RCD on my Consumer unit. I am wondering if this is when it stopped working without me realizing.
Any ideas on how to resolve this fault, please.
Sorry if this to vague.

Many thanks.

Steve.

I have the same problem but not on all movies. Some even stopped sounding while into the movie.

I'm using IE.

Sorry for the delay in getting back Lucasbytegenius.
I am running Firefox & am using Windows 7.
All the Computer noises are working on reboot so the sounds are being emitted.
The problem appears to be just on playing Video's.
I have no Computer knowledge what so ever. However, you guys have managed to get me up & running on several occasions.
Thank you for your interest.

OK guys, it's now working fine.
I ran my Antivirus which returned no faults what so ever.
I then tried my Video again & it now works.
Anyone care to explain whats just happened, because i'm confused.
Cheers.

Firefox has caused me infinite problems, so that may very well be the cause.
Check the video's volume control next time it happens.

Twiki,
I'm pleased that you are back up & running. Was your volume turned off or did you run your antivirus?
Lucas, I had checked the volume control & it was on & not muted. I don't know how things are setup, but the fact that my prompt sounds were all functioning correctly, lead me to believe that the volume was in fact ok.
Thanks for your interest in trying to help me guys. It is always a pleasure coming on this Forum.
Cheers.

Twiki,
I'm please that you are back up & running. Was your volume turned off or did you run your anti virus prgram?
Lucas,
I had checked my volume control & it was on & not muted. I don't know how these things are setup, but the fact that my prompt sounds were all functioning correctly, lead me to believe that the volume control had been validated.
Thanks for your interest in trying solve my problem guys. Its always a pleasure coming on this Forum for assistance.

I ran the anti-virus and got one hit. After that it was still mute so I checked the volume and it was off. Like I said I don't know what turned it off.
