No sound on Windows 10

I am quite experienced with my computer but I am now at a complete standstill trying to get the speakers to work on my new BenQ GL2780 monitor. I have tried everything I know but still unable to get the sound to work. Any ideas please ?

Are you connected via hdmi?
Lots of Windows 10 users have issues with no sound when using an HDMI connection
There's a few possible solutions out there, some people have had luck installing an updated graphics driver

I have decided to return the monitor, I have tried everything, thanks for your help.

Did you plug in the audio cable into the port next to the blue vga on the monitor? If not, thats why the sound didn't work. Also what video cable did you use, hdmi, vga, or dvi? If hdmi then you would have had to change the sound output settings to your onboard audio instead of hdmi cable.

Everything is OK now my solution was simple, just use HDMI connection and nothing else....
