I have the Sabrent SBT - TVFM card from Newegg and when i put in my bunny ears and turn it on theres no sound and ive mesed with the settings and cant find anything. I'm in the process of getting cable to my room. If you can help me in any way that would be great.

You have to somehow connect it to your soundcard. Some can use CD audio connectinos, or mine uses the line-in connection outside the machine.

I assuming your talking about this then..

Looking at the second picture offered, I see two white plugins. I assume those are for internal audio connections, where you'll have to buy another cord to connect your tuner and your sound card together. (I'm not sure if a mothernboard would have such a connection).

My ATI AIW 9800 doesn't decode sound (so I have to connect using the method above). They seem to include audio cabling, yet from the pictures, it doesn't really say what it should plug into (I assume they think your spliting the CATV signal into video and audio with a third device, like a vcr or dvd player...you know those 3 cords, usually yellow, white and red/black).

yeah...i guess you will have to connect it to your sound card...but it would suck if it didn't come with the cable to do so

Yea, he's right , I have the same TV tuner as you and theres a little black cable they sent with it and you run it from the TV card to the sound card, also make sure you have Line-In not muted in windows;)

i dont have any internal speakers and ran a line in cable from my sub directly into the line in on the tuner and that still didnt work

Internal speakers? Where'd you get that idea? The point is to play it though your soundcard! Did you try reading your instructions? IT should clearly state what each port on the back of the card is. One will be LINE-OUT and you plug your little jumper cable from that one to the LINE-IN on your sound card. Then, make sure it's not on mute or anything and you're good to go.

Oh, almost forgot. This, obviously, only work with the tuner. If you use RCA or S-Video, you have to plug your other cables(red and white) into some line in. Most cards also have a line in that will play though that jumper cable to the sound card.

in one of the pictures it shows the cords that come with it, the cord u need to use is the white see through cord to connect to the 2 white interfaces on the card itself. plug the black parts into them
