No sound

Hello I currently have a motherboard that I'm having issue with. It's a MSI 690K9AGM2. Every few weeks or so on a consistent basis my Network card and sound usually crash, so I simply restart the computer and reinstall the drivers for both hardware. Now my sound is no longer working, the drivers are installed, but there is no sound at all. I'm thinking this motherboard is faulty, any suggestions?

pumaking, if you mean 2 set speaker or 5 set speaker. I'm not using neither, just my headphones. My sound card is simply not working, the drivers are installed, check each component in device manager to make sure its working properly, it says it is. So when I go to sound and audio devices in control panel, its greyed out. So I simply disable the onboard audio in bios and it still detects the sound, very weird I would say. So I but a pci card and install that and it still doesn't work.

oscaryu1,

You're probably right. I guess I have to find another decent motherboard under a $100, I should have brought this motherboard back to Fry's. The nic, video and audio has been crashing every few weeks..crazy I would say.

what kind of speaker system you using? make sure everythings plugged in nicely.maybe speakers are faulty..if speakers are not faulty then u should try in Bios settings......
