How the hell do I have not enough space to download Crysis Demo!??! I have 150MB LEFT!!! That took me 4HOURS @ 90KBP/s !! WHAT the heck?!?!?!?

It seemed to delete itself

so u got a 20gb hdd and only 150mb of free space left. yet u know the demo is 1.77GB, so why download the demo when u know you do not have enough space left on ur hdd?

Read carefully. I had 99% and was transfering to desktop, all of a sudden BAM. 150MB left but it won't load to desktop...

From the command line (start > run > cmd) type in the following code, it will display the disk usage for each directory

Code:
diruse /M c:

I could have the syntax wrong, I am not around any Windows boxes at the moment I can check later on for that command.

20GB? Come on man... hard drives are so cheap, you could get an 80GB for less than $40 brand new.

You might try moving a gig or two to CDs. Can your GPU even handle Crysis on lowest settings?

Don't ask. It can't even do COD4... but 7300LE's can. And those are friggin 30$!

Ehh... none of my burners work :'(

I gotta floppy drive! Lemme go get my 5.25 disks... :P:P:P:P:P

okay they change it in XP SP2 to

Code:
dir /s /d

That will give you a quota of what is on your hard disk and how much space each directory is taking up.

could also just look in My Computer and see how full the drive is to know how much is used :P

anyway, you probably don't have enough space due to the fact that when its being downloaded, the file is being stored in a temporary downloads folder. Then, once the download finishes, the file is moved over to the location you chose to put the file (the 'transfering to (location)'. You might have had just about enough space to download it, but the problem is that during the file move, the old file can't be removed until the new one is finished being created. if you didn't have enough space for the new file to be created before the old one was deleted, well, theres your problem.

and...geeze...20gb hard drive.
you can get a 500GB for around $110 from newegg.
