ok, well i got the computer, assembled everything and now when I turn on the power, it starts up for a good 2 seconds and then stops. nothing else happens.
the specs are in my sig
whats wrong?

i can't see why not, It's really not running much at all
any other possiblities?

this is a review of the psu from newegg:
Grrrreat...

Pros: Running a Venice 3000+ @ 2.66GHz, 2GB OCZ, 7900GT OC'd, a Raptor, 1x 300GB, and 4x 320GB drives. Rock solid voltage rails. Adjustable rails are awesome to tweak and ensure enough power is given (and not too much), even under full load.

Cons: Somewhat large, make sure your case has enough room; in my case (no pun), it fits but just barely, and only in the *Plus* version of my Lian Li V1000 (not the plain version).

Other Thoughts: There are lots of wires, but that's hardly a problem as I actually need every lead wire. Modular PSU's can't supply power as well as a hard-wired one anyway.

that guy is definitely drawing more power than I am. When I push the power button, the fans spin on the case and in the psu, and also the two harddrives i can hear are doin what they do best. after a couple seconds it just goes off.

please guys, it makes me want to cry sitting next to this machine without being able to turn it on.
i see some people on that i know can help so PLEASE help me

check that you put on the cpu heatsink the correct way. also that you have put on as5 or thermal gel. i think its overheating and shutting down for saftey precautions

Check the standoff's, if they weren't preinstalled or already made into the case. Be sure the board's not hitting anything or directly screwed down to the case. Try single sticks of RAM, or RAM you know works. Try another video card(even plain PCI if you can) Unplug anything not needed for POST(IE drives and expansion cards) Try other power supplies....
