No Video.

Ok so its been awhile since I've posted on here.

I built my gaming computer about two years ago. Other day, it would not display video at all. First I thought the monitor died and that wasn't the problem.

Then I figured it was my motherboard because I went cheap on it and it came with the on board sound dead and some other issues. Should have returned it but was impatient.

So then I ordered a new mother board and video card (wanted to upgrade) and guess what, same thing no video. Tried new mother board and old video card. Guess what still no video. Tried different ram, in every slot and still nothing. Its an EVGA board and the LED lights say "FF" which means boot. No further information in the book about that.

So the only conclusion I can come up with is the processor went bad and my old mother board is fine.

I read online that the processor can cause no video. Just wanted other peoples opinions I guess.

Question is, if I try a new processor and still no video. Then what?.... ?

-Thanks.

P.S. I can't even get to see the bios screen. No Video at all. Period. :(

Have you checked your cables? The display cables may be damaged or there not plugged in properly.

I may sound like captain obvious but it would really suck to spend alot of money and find out it's a simple thing.

Yes the processor can cause nothing on the screen, no BIOS or anything. Maybe if you have an old CPU or a friend has a spare one for borrowing maybe you will have to try that.

I meant to put it in my post but when I hook up my laptop the video is fine on the monitor.

None of my friends have the same socket type as me. I been calling computer shops in town and none want to test my processor. Might fry motherboards or they dont have a motherboard to test and i rlly dont want to take my whole computer in.

Sorry for double post.

But I know beleive its the motherboards. Well I put my old motherboard in and took out the cmos battery. Tried running the PC. Got four beeps. LIFE!

So I hooked it up with new video card. Got Windows 7 to boot up. YAY!!!

restarted PC because I wanted to reinstall windows 7.

Guess what? Same BS as before. No video.

FML.
