ASUS P4P800-E Deluxe Mobo, Intel P4 3.2e GHz 800Mhz FSB, 512MB PC2700 Kingston ValuRam, 350W PSU, PNY GeForce FX5200 Ultra 128MB vid card.

I restarted my computer one day and left it at the Windows XP logon screen *fell asleep*...woke up and my computer was off. I turned it back on, but nothing showed up on the monitor. The monitor light is orange as if there is no signal coming from the computer. Bought a new mobo (one listed above). I know there is a lot of things that could have "broke" while it was in the old mobo..and that's why switching to this new mobo has no effect, but anyways...the CPU fried? (unlikely), Vid card died? (i don't think so)...RAM is still good. PSU is too weak? (my guess).

Try This

Try resetting the CMOS. This could solve it. I mean this ie exacty what happens when you chage something in a way you should not have ...fails to boot.

JAN :D

The PSU is fine. Try unplugging everything and plugging it back in. Start from "minimum" conditions and add stuff as you go :)

Thanks for the suggestions..but none of them work...
i've read on other forums where people are suggestion replacing the PSU with a higher wattage one..but it seems like everyone doesn't have the fundage... :P

Well if you read mine it would allow you to isolate the problem :) (i.e., if the PSU is the culprit or not and then move from there)
