No Word in start menu

Hello, I have Windows Vista and somehow I lost Microsoft Word in the start menu. I have no shortcuts anywhere to the program, and the only way I can open Word is to open a previously saved document. Word opens completely fine however this process is very annoying just to type a paper. It seems like the program was deleted, but it is still functioning when i open a previously saved document. Is there any way i can get Microsoft Office back in the start menu, or at least make desktop shortcuts to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.? Thanks so much.

Well, one way you can get them to your desktop is to go to "Start" Menu and on the "run" command type "Microsoft Word" and it's suppose to search for it. When you find it, right click on the Microsoft Word icon and click "copy" and then on your desktop right click and click "paste". It should put the icon on your desktop. Same instructions apply to the other Microsoft programs you need.

@soccerfan547:

1) Open Windows Explorer (WINKEY + E)
2) Navigate to your Local Drive ( usually C: )
3) Click on Program Files
4) Find the MS Office directory
5) Inside you should find the executables (I think winword.exe is probably still the Word exe)
6) Right-click the .exe and choose Send to -> Desktop

This should put a shortcut on your desktop, which you should be able to drag and drop onto your start menu (if you want).

NOTE: I don't have Office installed (or Windows for that matter), but this is the general procedure. Find the executable and create a shortcut to it.
