There is always a slim chance of losing data but XP's command will do it

Click the <Start> button.
Click <Run>.
Enter "cmd" into the text field labeled "Open".
Click the <OK> button.
Enter the command "vol c:" to find the volume label for the C: partition.
Enter the command "convert c: /fs:ntfs" to convert the C: partition from FAT32 to NTFS.
When prompted, enter the volume label for the partition.

I've done it the way TFT said for our sales reps here at the office. They haven't lost any data, and it doesn't take very long. You enter that command, and when you restart it'll start the conversion before Windows boots up. Under 10 minutes, probably more like 5. I don't remember exactly though.

go to start > run > type "cmd" in the prompt - that will open a black window.
In that window is where you type:
convert c: /fs:ntfs - follow what it says, i think itll tell you to restart your computer. when you do it will do the conversion. youll start windows up and be good to go.
