When I scan for viruses with NOD32 sometimes it says 'file locked, unable to scan file' or something like that, does this innablilty with scanning locked files only occur with NOD32 or with all anti-virus systems?

Also is NOD32 anti-spyware as well?

it states that it has "Real-time protection against viruses, spyware, adware, and identity theft." so im guessing yes.

different programs find different stuff, just because the programmers that make the programs dont find everything. they try to get as much as they can though! try using ad-aware se personal! www.lavasoft.com
ive never tried nod32, and ive never had spyware/viruses say its locked. id say nod32 just needs a good update, or you need to switch anti-virus programs lol.

My friend uses nod32 and I remember him telling me it cannot scan files that are in use, try doing a scan in safe mode and see what happens. Also I think there is a way to by pass that.

I did not say it was only good in safe mode I said try it and see what happens.
Nod32 has its own forum also, you might want to check that out, like I said I think there is a way to work around that problem.

well I've tried Norton Internet Security 2006, AVG, Avast!, Mcaffee Internet Security Suite 2006, Kerio, Kaspersky, NOD32.
NOD32 and Kaspersky Anti-Hacker are my preference.
