Noise from switches

Folks,
am i correct in assuming 220/110 volt switches using 20 W are a lot noisier than 12 V switches using 14W?

Hope to get away with doing an RMA of a very noisy exaplle of the former in favour of the later but don't want to waist everyones time if I will end up listening to an equally annoying hum!

Move the switch.

use a switch with a high amperage, that will give you the most noise

or you can just move the switch to another room
