Noisy Dell CD drives

Anyone else have a similar problem? For whatever reason, my dell Oplex 50 has such a noisy CD-rom drive. The hard drive and fan are silent, but the cd drive makes the computer sound as loud as those pcs you buy that have 8 fans in them. Any suggestions on what can be done to cut down on the noise?
 
Yeah, find a higher end drive that might have some insulation... I know a few of my drives are quite silent, and some you can hear outside my room!

Another option, I beleive there are some programs that let you limit the speed of your drive. I could be wrong as I don't know of any right off hand, but it could be an option...
 
i havnt had a Dell...wouldnt ever lol but i would just replace it because they are so cheap now days :)
