i have linux and windows on the same harddrive. i dont use linux much and want to convert the linux partion over to my windows partition. is it posible to do this without having to reformate the entire harddrive and loose my windows data?

yes there is a way
simply format the linux drive and change the file system to FAT32 or NTFS (recommended)
that's it.

Yes. You'll need a program like Partition Magic to reallocate the size of a partition without destroying any data.

You'll want to delete the Linux partitions using something like Partition Magic or a live CD partitioner, then resize the Win partition to take up all of the free space.
